William Gregory Stewart, Sr., 72, of Rocky Hill, CT passed away peacefully on August 03, 2023 after a prolonged illness. Greg or Pops, as he was known was the eldest son of the late John B. and Gladys (Strong) Stewart, Jr.

Greg leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Bridget Stewart of Windsor, CT; son, William Gregory Stewart, Jr. of Thousand Oaks, CA; granddaughters, Farrah Beatty and Alani Stewart; and grandsons, William Gregory Stewart, III and Jadon Garcia; brother, Jeffrey Allen Stewart of Hartford, CT; sister, Holly Ann Stewart of Hartford, CT; and host of friends and relatives.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Wendy Stewart Villalobos and brothers, Donald Stewart and John B. Stewart, III.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and sincerely thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy. We especially like to express our gratitude to the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Rocky Hill State Veterans Hospital that cared for our Dad during his long illness. He received excellent care. Not only was the staff professional but they demonstrated a true commitment and pride to their jobs.

Calling hours will be held at the Sgt. John L. Levitow Healthcare Center Chapel, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT on Monday, August 14th from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Full military honors will be accorded at 11:00 am at Col. Raymond F. Gates Cemetery in Rocky Hill, CT. The family respects the wishes of Greg and will not be holding any other funeral services.
