William Henry Shehadi, Jr.

William Henry Shehadi, Jr., 66, of Middletown, passed away on April 30, 2025, at his home.  Born in Bronxville, New York, he was the son of the late William Shehadi, Sr and Ruth Lambert Shehadi.

He graduated from Greenwich High School Class of 1976 and graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA in 1981 with an Associate Degree in Arts.

Bill suffered serious mental illness his entire adult life.  He had the misfortune of spending much of his adult life committed to one of several state psychiatric hospitals, including Whiting.  The last year and a half of his life he had the blessing of being discharged to a home in Middletown where he was taken care of by staff from a phenomenal nonprofit organization, Continuum of Care, who have completely different ideas of what is possible for people with life-long disabilities. 

William is survived by his brother Al Shehadi of Greenwich, who has been his legal conservator and advocate for more than 25 years.
