William R. Dombroski passed away April 19, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Despite the harshness of this debilitating disease; Bill battled with strength and courage, until his last breath.
As a child; oldest of three boys; Bill stepped into the Big Brother role protecting his brothers throughout the years. After graduating from esteemed Stuyvesant Science School of New York City; Bill enlisted in the Army where his love for science became a high ranking engineer sent to Germany as petroleum specialist in charge of quality. After returning from his service, Bill started in the semiconductor field where he met the love of his Life; Lorraine. Bill excelled in the field helping numerous companies develop patents that are still used today in some of our everyday electronics. He can be remembered for his dry science humor, words of encouragement, and tackling any obstacle in life by giving 100%. “Be satisfied knowing you gave it everything you had!”
He is survived by his beloved wife Lorraine Dombroski and his children Dana Dombroski and Dennis Dombroski. Bill was a devoted father and husband. His family was everything to him as well as all the dogs he owned through the years. Bill’s family wants to thank all the wonderful caring staff at the veterans home in Rocky hill. Donations can be made to disabled veterans.
