Vincent McKoy Smikle

Vincent McKoy Smikle, 63, of Middletown, beloved husband of Belinda (Henderson) Smikle for nineteen years, passed away on June 28, 2023, at Hartford Hospital.  Born in Bonnett, Saint Catherine, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Standford and Netrice (Garriques) Smikle.

Vincent lived in Middletown for nineteen years and worked for Phillips Industry for thirteen years.  He enjoyed music. Vincent will be remembered as a humble, peaceful family man, who was always giving and always wearing a smile.

Along with his wife, Vincent is survived by two sons, Shaquan Smikle of Hartford and Curtis Anderson of Middletown; four daughters, Carlene Smikle of Bronx, New York, Sherica Smikle of Bronx, New York, Shecilia Smikle of Hartford and Kerry Ann Anderson of Windsor; a brother, Barrington Small of Jamaica; seven sisters, Enid Smikle of Jamaica, Phyllis Smikle of Jamaica, Ivy Smikle of England, Imogene Smikle of Jamaica, Aldret Wilson of New York, Pamela Small of New York and Jacqueline Small Webley of Bridgeport and five grandchildren.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7th at 11:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Family and friends may call before the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be on a later date in Jamaica.  The service will be livestreamed through the Doolittle Funeral Home facebook page.
