Thad Eugene Gulliksen

   Thad Eugene Gulliksen, 61, of Cromwell, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Peter and Betty (Quint) Gulliksen.

Thad was a graduate of Cromwell High School and was a veteran of four years in the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2020. After suffering a stroke, for the past four years, he resided at the Water’s Edge Rehabilitation Center, in Middletown.

Thad was an avid genealogist who had researched and documented his family’s ancestry. Thad was also a very competitive bowler who valued the friendships he had developed during the years of league bowling.

Thad is survived by his sister, Tracy Gulliksen and his nephew, Zakary Ostiguy of Cromwell; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Donna Gulliksen of Lebanon, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call Thursday, May 2nd from 5pm to 7pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home,506 Main St. Cromwell, CT 06416. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
