Susan Lynn Solek

Susan Lynn Solek, 56, of Guilford, passed away on December 13, 2025.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sharon (Goodyear) Solek.

Susan grew up in Portland graduating from Portland High School Class of 1988.  She worked for Mariott Courtyard in Cromwell for twenty years.  Susan was a devout Christian, and enjoyed puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and movies.

Susan is survived by two brothers Jeffrey D. Solek and his wife Ellen of Bristol and Brian Solek and his wife Shana of Clinton: two sisters Cynthia Coote and her husband Richard of Branford and Caron Poitras and her husband Gary of Portland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 am in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West, 29 Hillside Road, Cromwell.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut, 386 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
