Steven Stanley David Decker, 77, of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2025, at his home. Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence Decker and the late Josephine (Rasmus) Woodhouse.
Steven had a long career in the United States Air Force earning the rank of Master Sargeant. He was also a tool & die maker in Bristol and recently worked as a volunteer at the Bristol Clock Museum. Steven was very meticulous, loved movies, bowling and cats and loved his family dearly.
He is survived by a brother John Anthony Decker of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters Deborah A. Hartman and Alvina E. Furniss, both of Bristol and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Steven was predeceased by three brothers, Doug I. Kurwelnz, Alvin P. Kurwelnz and Richard Hartman and a sister Marlene Mitchell.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 10th at 1:00 pm in the State Veteran Cemetery in Middletown where full military honors will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven’s memory may be made to a charity of choice that supports helping animals.
