Shirley Mae (Jacobs) Miller

Shirley Mae (Jacobs) Miller, 89, of Middletown, wife of the late Donald D. Miller, passed away on December 8, 2024, at Apple Rehab of Cromwell.  Born in Bedford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Jacobs and the late Marie (Wonders) Markwood and Glen Markwood.

Shirley lived in Middletown most of her life and worked at SNET for over twenty years.  She was a member of Third Congregational Church in Westfield.  She enjoyed gardening, yardwork, sewing, crafts, camping and shopping.  Shirley loved her cats and truly cherished her family.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Steven Miller of Naples, FL and Donald Miller of Middletown; a daughter Kathy Miller of Cromwell; a brother Robert Jacobs of Mount Joy, PA; three grandchildren, Danielle Buggie, Steven Miller and Michael Miller and one great grandchild Nicholas Buggie.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30th at 11:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. A burial will follow in Miner Cemetery.  Family and friends may call on Monday morning before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to C.A.T.A.L.E.S., Inc., P.O.
