Shalemar T. Freeman

Born March 23, 1995 - Died February 11, 2024. 

Shalemar Freeman was born March 23, 1995, to Shiela Freeman. She was then adopted by William and the late Brenda Freeman. While growing up in the care of William and Brenda Lee Freeman, Shalemar attended the Middletown school system, where she graduated and received her GED. She attended the Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church starting in the buds of promise from there joined the Youth Ministry and Dance Ministry. Then went on to further her education and graduated from Job Core as Medical Assistance, Certified Phlebotomist. Shalemar has had various jobs within her community. Her hobbies were singing with her besties Erica and Brittney when she was younger. Another hobby she enjoyed was her passion for being a hair stylist with her sister. Shalemar has always had a heart for kids, which was visible through her willingness to babysit other people’s children.  She embraced her biological siblings with love and affection. Each sibling held a special place in her heart. 

Shalemar’s pride and joy has and will always be her one and only son Bishop Olden Holley.

Shalemar leaves behind her beloved son Bishop Holley, her adopted father William H. Freeman, her mother Sheila Freeman, her grandmother Shirley Thomas, her adopted brother and sisters: Councilman Dr. Anthony Freeman (Denise Freeman), Anita Dempsey-White (Reginald White), Felicia Freeman, her biological sisters and brothers: Iesha Watkins, Sheena Taylor, Patrick Parker, Alonzo Watson, Charles Freeman, Michael Freeman, Malachi Ready. She also leaves behind her uncle William Jr. Freeman and leaves behind great aunts, great uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins along with all her friends and extended family.

She was predeceased by her adopted mother Brenda Lee Freeman, her sister in-law Samantha Parker, and cousins Shanea Leary, Jordyn Leary, Anthony Jr. Freeman, Bertha Mae Parker, and Jackie Fountain.
