Samona Ruth (Lemon) Banks

Samona Ruth (Lemon) Banks, 69, of Middletown, wife of the late Carl Christopher Columbus Banks, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital.  Born in White Plains, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Blanche (Davis) Lemon.

Samona lived in Middletown most of her life.  She graduated from Cromwell High School Class of 1972 and worked in the health field for many years.  Samona enjoyed being with people and will be remembered as a very nurturing person.

Samona is survived by her son, Christopher R. Banks of Meriden; her daughter Leah Grainger Foy of Middletown; a brother Eddie Lemon, Jr. of New York; a sister Kecia Mathis of Arizona; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Samona was predeceased by her brother Otis Brooks, Sr. and a sister Sandra Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28th at 2:00 pm at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Family and friends may call on Tuesday afternoon before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
