Sally Wood Eckersley,82, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023, at her home. Born in Middletown on January 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Kopp) Eckersley.

Sally lived in Cromwell most of her life. She was employed as a social worker for 26 years.  She was a member of the Haddam Ukulele Club, Connectikiters Kite Club, and the American Kite Fliers Association and was also an avid gardener and reader.

Sally is survived by her sister Willa K. Eckersley and her loyal companions; Bumbleberry, her dog and Dottie, her cat.

Besides her parents, Sally is predeceased by her sisters Ellen Lane Ranger and Suzan Eckersley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:00 am at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Family and friends may call from 10:00am to 11:00 am before the service.
