Ruth Avonette Bengtson-Palmer

Ruth Avonette Bengtson-Palmer, 80, of Cromwell, passed away on January 25, 2025, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Lord) Bengtson.  Ruth lived in Cromwell all her life.  She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.  Ruth loved her gardens and animals.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Saundra Palmer Grassi and her husband Andrew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 50 Court Street, Cromwell.  A burial will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to Special Needs for Pets Fund c/o Cromwell Animal Control, 5 West Street, Cromwell, CT 06416.  Cromwell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
