Royal Edward Ramsdell III, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away at home on March 6, 2025, with his wife by his side. He was a man of passion, humor, and deep devotion to those he loved, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
Born to Ruth and Royal Ramsdell II, Royal carried his family name with honor. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jucinda Fenn-Ramsdell, who he called the love of his life and the woman he would always turn to. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, drama, and a deep and unwavering support for one another.
Royal deeply loved his daughters, Colleen (Beano), Delaney and his grandsons, Connor and Caidan. He was also deeply cherished by his step children, Jordan Fenn Heeder and Zane Fenn, and his in-laws, Joan and Theodis Fenn, who considered him a second son. His circle of love extended to his close friends and family, including Theodis Jr Fenn, Lisa Deblois, Kevin Finnegan, Gus (Gene) LeBranch, and his dearest friend and brother Mike DeGenaro, who along with his family, mourns his passing and celebrates his life.
Royal had a passion for the beauty in life—he found joy in the vibrant culture of Barbados, the craftsmanship of fine automobiles, rebuilding motorcycles, watching Westerns and the quiet fulfillment of tending to his garden at his homes in Connecticut and Barbados. He was a man who found happiness in the simple moments, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
His presence will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who loved him. In honoring his memory, may we continue to find joy in the things he cherished and love as deeply as he did. May he rest in peace.
