Roberta Ann Bensenhaver

Roberta Ann Bensenhaver, 74, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Goodreau) Bensenhaver.

Roberta lived in Middletown most of her life.  She was employed by SNET for twenty-six years and Stanley Works for seventeen years.  Roberta enjoyed reading, quilting and was an avid teddy bear collector.

She is survived by two brothers, William Bensenhaver and his wife Debra of Middlefield and John Bensenhaver of Middletown; two sisters, Judith Hogan and her husband Joseph of York, Maine and Pamela Wilkie and her husband Charles of South Windsor and three nieces and three nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Apple Rehab of Middletown and to the seventh floor staff of Middlesex Hospital for their compassion and care given to Roberta.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at 2:00 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in First Parish Cemetery in York, Maine.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roberta’s memory may be made to Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
