Robert William Ives, 79, of Enfield, passed away on September 27, 2025, at Parkway Pavilion Health and Rehabilitation Center in Enfield after a long struggle with a head injury and Parkinson's disease. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late William and Lillian (Taylor) Ives.
Robert grew up in and was a long-time resident of Colchester. He graduated from Bacon Academy in 1963 where he was voted class artist, class musician and class clown. Robert was a member of the local Fish and Game club in Colchester.
Robert was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an exceptional artist, photographer and drummer. He specialized in naval photography where he travelled extensively taking photos. He also excelled at sign painting.
Robert is survived by his son Robert V. Ives of Northampton, MA, two sisters Marilyn Ives Laven of Rotterdam, New York and Barbara Barry of Santee, CA, five nephews and nieces and many good friends.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Linda Ives.
