Robert “Bob” Anthony Ceplenski
June 13, 1945 – February 24, 2026
Bob Ceplenski, was a very loving and caring husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. Bob was born in Middletown, CT in 1945 to Stephen & Mary Ceplenski. He was a graduate of Cromwell High School and was a road construction foreman for companies Costello & Santoro. Bob was a proud member of the National Guard from August 22, 1966 – September 22, 1969. Bob’s life was defined by his love for his family. He was a devoted and loving husband for 34 years to his wife, Janice. As a father and father-in-law, Bob’s love, guidance, and support knew no bounds. He is deeply missed by his children, Marc (Laura) and Amanda (Sal), who will forever cherish the unwavering dedication he showed them throughout their lives. Bob’s grandchildren, Presley, Paxton, Marco, and Genovanni, were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in being an active part of their lives. His love for them was unconditional, and his presence will be sorely missed. Bob was a family man; always taking care of his family, the home and farm. He showed his love and affection by cooking and baking and by doing things without being asked whether it was feeding the animals, fixing equipment, or maintaining the farm. His family will always remember how he poured his heart into everything he did, always with a smile and a joke, like, “I can fix anything. It may not come out right, but I can fix it.” Bob was preceded in death by his parents Stephen & Mary, and is survived by his siblings (Kathy, Donald, Stephen) many other family and friends and of course his beloved animals Leo, Tic & Tac and his farm animals. Bob will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his family, and the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A final prayer for our beloved Father, Father In-Law and Grandfather.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
