Robert James Bouchard

Robert James Bouchard, 92, of Rocky Hill, husband of Carolyn (Rennell) Bouchard for twenty-six years, passed away on May 30, 2024, at the Sgt. John L. Levitow Healthcare Center in Rocky Hill.  Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Walter and Cecile (Taracani) Bouchard.

Bob lived most of his life in Bristol.  He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart.  He had a love for chocolate donuts and enjoyed shopping and golf.  Bob will be remembered as a kind and giving man.

Along with his wife, Bob is survived by two daughters, Deborah Roy and Donna Roy of Plantsville, CT; a stepdaughter, Maria Spodobalski of Hebron; a sister, Liza Sighinolfi of Cedar Park, TX; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 am at Saint Peters Episcopal Church, 30 Church Street, Hebron.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  IN lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Department of Veterans Affairs c/o Healthcare Center Recreation Department, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.   To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
