Robert Arthur Barzee

Robert Arthur Barzee, 81, of Rocky Hill, passed away on May 28, 2024, at Sgt. John L. Levitow Healthcare Center.  Born in New Haven on November 19, 1942, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Moldenhauer) Barzee.

Robert was a good athlete in his youth playing baseball, hockey, and basketball.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army.  Robert was employed at Saint Raphael Hospital as a janitor.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Barzee of West Haven and her fiancé Michael Zandri; granddaughter Kendall Zandri; brother John Barzee and his wife Kathy of Burnsville, MN and his former wife Madelyn (Sears) Barzee of West Haven.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3 at 10:00 am in the Sgt John L. Levitow Healthcare Center Chapel, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill.  A burial will follow in Colonel Raymond F. Gates Memorial Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.  Family and friends may call before the service from 9:30 am to 10:00 am in the chapel.
