Rev. Jane Burr (Shipman) Stickney

Reverend Jane Burr (Shipman) Stickney, 79, of Higganum, wife of the late Rev. David A. Stickney, died  peacefully at her home on February 27, 2026.  Born on February 5, 1947, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Rita (Corsa) Shipman.

Jane is survived by her daughter Heather (Stickney) Huebner, grandchildren, Etienne Huebner, Celie Huebner and Dorian Huebner, brother Reed Shipman and sister Nona (Shipman) Pontiff.

Along with her husband and parents, Jane was predeceased by her sister Beth F. Shipman.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10:00 am at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 50 Emmanuel Church Road in Killingworth.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Swords to Plowshares Northeast @ S2Pnortheast.org.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
