Patricia Anne (Fleming) Alsup

Patricia Anne (Fleming) Alsup “Pat” age 74, of Cromwell passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 in the comfort of her home. Pat was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Edward “Ted” Alsup.  Pat was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Groton, CT.  Pat was the daughter of the late Joseph Fleming and Margaret Brady Fleming.  She graduated from St. Bernard High School (1964) and graduated from Bryant College (1966). Pat and Ted moved to Cromwell, CT in 1970 and began their family. Pat spent 31 years in various administrative assistant roles at Cromwell High School.  She touched the lives of well over 3,000 high school students. In addition to her beloved work with the teens of Cromwell, Pat worked for the St. John Church Faith Formation Program and was a very active member of the community. 

Pat is survived by a son Stephen Alsup and wife Deborah of Middlefield and a daughter, Robyn Swanson and her husband Barry of Cromwell. The light of Pat’s life was her five grandchildren: Allie, Spencer, Cameron, Cody and Jaiden. Pat is also survived by a sister Eileen Fleming MacLaren of Bradenton, FL and her son Scott Drummonds, and her brother Jim Fleming and his wife Pat of Waterford, CT and their daughters Jamie Stamatien and Jessica Fedor. She loved her grand-nephews & grand-niece very much. Pat leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends that became family. 

Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Friday, September 10th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St, Cromwell. Per the request of the funeral home, guests are required to wear a face mask. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 11th at 10:00am at St. John Church, 5 St. John Court, Cromwell.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
