Nancy Fields Obituary

It is with great sadness to note the passing of Nancy Ellen (Kahn) Fields, 69, of Rocky Hill, CT who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021. Born June 6, 1952 in Orange, NJ, Nancy was the daughter of Lester Kahn and Carole Kahn. Nancy was raised in Livingston, NJ and graduated from Livingston High School in 1970.

Before moving to Connecticut, Nancy spent the first part of her career working alongside her parents in the family business, Michal Kohn Jewelers in Westfield, NJ where she spent nearly 15 years. Although Nancy eventually moved to Connecticut, she was forever a "Jersey Girl" at heart and never left behind her love of a good Jewish Deli and her NY Football Giants. Nancy was funny, witty, caring, and generous and the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. She loved her hearts, her coffee, her TV shows (of course Law and Order) and quality time spent with her family and close friends. Through the years Nancy maintained a special relationship with her extended family, particularly her nephews and their children. For the past 31 years Nancy resided in Rocky Hill where she was a loving mother, selfless and devoted caregiver to her late husband, and partner in the family business, Bernie Fields Jewelers of Middletown, CT.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband Martin Fields and her brother Donald Kahn. She is survived by her children, Rebecca Fields of Rocky Hill, CT, Marcie Berger (Mark) of Larchmont, NY, Leslie Person (Mark) of Cromwell, CT, Laurie Robillard (Brian) of Middletown, CT, Alan Fields of Rocky Hill, CT, and Tommy. Nancy is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Patty and Phil Einhorn of Raleigh, NC and her nephews Jack (Stephanie) and Daniel. Besides her children, Nancy leaves behind her grandchildren Jared and Elissa Berger, Alex and Erika Person, Matthew Defronzo, and Nathan, Jacob and Hallie Robillard.
