Myrna Hanson Logan, known to everyone as “Mimi,” passed away peacefully on June 26, 2018 at the age of 72.
A longtime resident of Clinton, Mimi was born in Middletown to Raymond and Ruth (Brazos) Hanson. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Western College for Women in Ohio. She was a proud Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia from 1967 to 1969.
She served as a Department of Labor investigator for years in Connecticut and California. She met the late Charles (“Chuck”) Logan at a labor project in 1972, and they were married for 41 years. Mimi had many “hats” in the Clinton community - the public school system, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Beach Association, and HCH Library.
She is survived by her daughter Ruth, stepson Steve, stepdaughter Denielle, four step grandchildren, brother Karl Hanson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Mimi’s life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, August 18 in the fellowship hall of the First Church of Christ (Congregational), 55 Church Road, Clinton, CT. The burial service will be private.
