Michael "Mickey" Bernard Bruzik

Michael (Mickey) Bernard Bruzik, 87, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018.  Born in New Britain, CT, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Kuchick) Bruzik.

Mickey was a veteran of the United States Army and was proud of his service in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, Elks, Moose club, and past president of the Eagles Club.

A beloved teacher at Vinal Tech High School, a huge sports fan that loved the Red Sox and the Cowboys, nothing was more important to Mickey than watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He loved traveling, cruising, and spending time with his friends.

Mickey is survived by his sister Ann Niles of VT, brother Bob of NH, sons, Michael and his wife, Leslie of Stamford, Mark and his wife, Diane of Farmington, Robert of Charlotte, NC, Scott of Middletown, and David and his wife, Siobhan of Rocky Hill and his wonderful grandchildren, Toby, Matthew, Benjamin, Jennifer, Nicole, Fiona, and great grandchild John.

Along with his parents, Mickey was predeceased by his daughter, Susan E. Bruzik.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 10:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will follow in Saint John Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
