Michael John Bartoszewicz

It saddens us the passing of our brother, uncle, and friend Michael J. Bartoszewicz on December 22, 2025. Michael, 67, leaves behind his brother Walter Bartoszewicz and wife Judy of Middletown; sister Mary Reynolds of Middletown; sister-in-law Susan Bartoszewicz of Texas; nieces, Wendy Bartoszewicz and daughter Maelyn of Glastonbury, Rebecca Boss and husband Jordan of Middletown, Jane Priesmeyer of Texas; cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Stella (Sennik) Bartoszewicz, brother Stanley Bartoszewicz, and brother-in-law John Reynolds. Born and raised in Middletown, Michael was a lifelong resident of Connecticut, working as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney for 35 years, and settling into his home in Moodus. He enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, hiking, cycling, cars, comedy, and music. If you had the pleasure of meeting Michael, you would no doubt have heard his patented Elvis impression or an impassioned Styx ballad. Michael had a deep love for animals, especially his pets, most recently the joys of his life Sammy and Kayla the rescue dog, affectionately known as Pinky Karlinky von Pinkenstein. Michael’s energy was Robin Williams on The Tonight Show, jokes a mile a minute, impressions abounding, songs skillfully sung, and that energy will be missed. All arrangements will be under the direction of Doolittle Funeral Home in Middletown, CT. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 11:30 at St. Mary’s Church in Middletown, with burial at the discretion of the family.
