Maryann (Butts) Lawrence

Maryann (Butts) Lawrence, 73, of Middletown, passed away on March 14, 2022 at Wadsworth Glen.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Flowers) Butts.

Maryann lived in Middletown all her life and was a member of Cross Street AME Zion Church.  She worked for SNET for twenty-five years and Comcast for several years and loved selling her Avon Products.  Maryann was a member of the American Legion Post #206.  She enjoyed travelling, going to the casino, playing Pokeno, dancing and cooking for parties.  Maryann loved spending time with her close friends and caring for her fur babies.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly T. Lawrence of Middletown; five grandchildren, Alexander Lawrence, Aamir Lawrence, Nyalah Lawrence, Aleese Lawrence and Xavier Daniels; two great grandchildren and many friends.

Along with her parents, Maryann was predeceased by her son, Jermaine D. Lawrence and her brother, Wendell McRae.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 11:00am at Cross Street AME Zion Church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
