On June 17, 2026, Heaven gained an angel when Mary Beth Hynoski, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend, passed away at the age of 67.

Mary Beth was born on April 14, 1959, in Somerville, New Jersey, and spent most of her childhood in Bridgewater, New Jersey. She later chose to raise her family in Clinton Township, New Jersey, where she built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. In recent years, she moved to Middletown, Connecticut, to be closer to her beloved grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Mary Beth will be remembered for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, unwavering support, selflessness, and the love she gave to those around her. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome, valued, and cared for, and she leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter and kindness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth (Kolka) Kellogg and Harry Kellogg, and by her brother, John Shortall.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband, Robert Hynoski; her daughters, Marissa Lombardo and Madison Schneider; and her sons-in-law, Jared Lombardo and Nolan Schneider. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amber and Dominic Lombardo, who were among the greatest joys of her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Fredrick Kellogg and his wife, Lorraine Kellogg, and Jay Kellogg and his wife, Evelyn Kellogg; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Shortall, wife of her late brother John Shortall; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Mary Beth dedicated 36 years of her professional life to serving Veterans at the VA Hospital in Lyons, New Jersey. Beginning her career as a Recreational Therapist, she later served for many years as Chief of Voluntary Service. Her passion for improving the lives of Veterans was evident in everything she did. Among her many accomplishments, she played a key role in helping the hospital become a Planetree facility and was instrumental in creating and implementing the No Veteran Dies Alone Program at her campus. Her compassion, leadership, and commitment left a lasting impact on both Veterans and colleagues alike.

Outside of her career, Mary Beth found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, gathering with neighbors, and creating cherished holiday traditions that will live on for generations. She especially enjoyed making jokes and sharing laughs with her grandchildren. She was known to enjoy a margarita or a melon ball from time to time and never missed an opportunity to celebrate life's special moments with those she loved. An avid animal lover, she is survived by her faithful dog, Bailey, as well as her beloved granddogs, Walker, Luna, and Nova.

Mary Beth's greatest accomplishment in life was raising her two daughters, Marissa and Maddie. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and compassion.

A celebration of Mary Beth's life will be held at a future date.

Though she is no longer with us, Mary Beth's laughter, love, and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
