Mary "Ma" Cintron, lovingly known as "Cuchie," passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones on December 17, 2024. Born on April 3, 1943, in Newark, NJ, to Eva Fernandez and Albano José Fernandes, Mary was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
She was predeceased by the love of her life and devoted husband, Frank Cintron, with whom she shared a life filled with love and cherished memories. Mary is survived by her four children: Eva "Evie" Cintron (husband Willie) of Connecticut, Yvette Vitolo of New York, Linda Cintron-Garcia (husband George) of Colorado, and Daniel "Danny" Cintron of Pennsylvania. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Nicole Mendoza (husband Allan), Anthony Mendoza, Melody Mendoza, Brandon Vitolo, Anthony Randazzo Jr., Justin Randazzo, and Franklin Garcia. Her legacy continues through her four great-grandchildren: Jayden, Malia, Bella, and StarAngel.
Mary also leaves behind her two beloved sisters: Annette Geneva (husband Tony) of Pennsylvania and Hilda Edwards (husband Chris) of New Jersey. Her cousin and confidant Nancy Fabbiani held a special place in her heart as a partner in crime and a sister in spirit. Mary’s extended family and countless friends adored her deeply.
Known for her boundless generosity and unwavering love, Mary touched the lives of everyone she met. Those who knew her were captivated by her warmth, and even strangers quickly became attached to her kind spirit. She gave selflessly to others and only asked that those around her love and support one another.
Mary "Ma" Cintron will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her. Her family expresses their gratitude for everything she did for them. Rest in peace, Ma—our angel. You will be missed beyond measure.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, December 22nd from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. A service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
