Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Behm

Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Behm, departed this world on Sunday, May 8, 2021 to take her place in Heaven with so many family and friends.  Her heart finally gave out though it served her well for over ninety-nine years.  Born in Middletown, Mary was the daughter of the late Carl Albin and Jennifer (Gaffney) Johnson.

Mary grew up in the Nooks in Cromwell, a place she loved.  In the late 1930’s, she met her future husband George, they married before he went to war.  Upon his return, they were blessed with a daughter, Sandra and eight years later a son, George.  Mary worked at Walters Belting where she made many friends until retirement in 1981.

Along with her son, Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, George Behm; her daughter, Sandra Behm; brothers, Raymond and Walter Johnson and a sister, Wanda Rochette.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and aides at Middlesex Home Health Care.
