Marvin Lee Lane, 70, of Middletown, husband of the late Mollie (Leary) Lane, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Born in Windsor, NC, he was the son of the late James Lane and Lillie Rankins.
Marvin lived in Middletown for the past 55 years. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He loved racing cars, tennis, football and fishing.
Marvin is survived by three daughters, Tywona Speller of GA, Michele (Victor) Bass of Meriden, and Charmaine Lane of Middletown; four brothers, Stuart Holley of Middletown, James Holley of Middletown, Burt Anthony of Chicago IL, and William Anthony of Meriden, five sisters, Lillie M. Hardy of Middletown, Shirley Tomlin of Middletown, Barbara Holley of Windsor, NC, Cora Anthony of St Petersburg, FL, and Jessica Anthony of Meriden. He also leaves three granddaughters, two grandsons, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Marvin was predeceased by his brother Clarence Holley and sister Thelma Holley.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown where full military honors will be accorded. To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit wwww.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
