Marion Lee (Spencer) Harris, 89, wife of the late Warren L. Harris, life-long resident of the South Farms area of Middletown, passed away on December 13, 2023, at Pilgrim Manor. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond, Sr., and Helen (Lee) Spencer.
Marion worked for the State of Connecticut for twenty-six years, retiring in 1995. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity congregation for over fifty years. Marion was a Middlesex County 4H leader for twenty years and served as President of the New Farm Hill Cemetery Association.
She leaves behind two children, Louis Harris and his wife Lori of East Hampton and Cheryl Creem and her husband Edward of Middletown; a granddaughter Julie Freel and her husband Tim; two great grandchildren and two step granddaughters, Molly Beer and Megan Creem. She is also survived by her cousin and best friend Edith McCauley of Middletown, a cousin Everett Spencer, Jr. of Mystic, a cousin Carol James of Old Lyme and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by, brother Raymond “Bud” Spencer, Jr., and her beloved dog Sparky.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19th at 10:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown followed by a burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
