Margaret "Valerie" (Berridge) Gayeski

Margaret “Valerie” Gayeski, 78, died unexpectedly January 2nd, 2022 at Beverly Hospital. She was born May 11th, 1943, in Cottesmore, England, the daughter of Robert and Ruby May Berridge. Valerie came to United States in 1963 to visit a friend and decided to make the United States her home. In 1997, she was proud to become a US citizen. She opened a very successful bridal gown business which thrived in Reading, MA for decades. In 1999, she married Peter Gayeski and they resided in Peabody, MA with their beloved dog Molly. Valerie loved gardening, taking long drives, listening to jazz, traveling and making beautifully designed outfits for Molly. Valerie had a gift of lighting up any room she entered. She was funny, easy to laugh and had kindness in her heart that was infectious. Valerie was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Peter Gayeski; two brothers Terence and Rex Berridge; children Amy and Tracy Gayeski; son-in-law Stuart Bunton; grandchildren, Sawyer, Luca and Alejandro; brother and sister-in-law Paul and Elaine Gayeski; nieces Samantha Lester and Andrea Gayeski.

The private burial service will held at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown, CT. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
