Marcia Caplan

Marcia Caplan, 74, of Cromwell, passed away on July 13, 2023 at Pilgrim Manor in Cromwell. Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Thelma (Besnoff) Caplan. 
Marcia proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. She had more than 30 years of combined military and federal service, including working for the Department of Defense, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
She was member of Jewish War Veterans Post 45, American Legion Post 75 in Middletown and Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue.
Marcia is survived by her brother, Allen B. Caplan and his wife Linda of North Haven; and two nephews, Jerry A. Caplan of Charlotte, NC and Louis F. Caplan of Pikesville, MD.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, David M. and Leonard B. Caplan.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 17th at 10:00 am in the State Veteran Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, where full military honors will be accorded.
