Malina Olivia Davis

It Breaks our heart to inform you that Malina Davis has transitioned from our care to the care of God.

Malina Davis moved into Oak Hill’s Middletown Group Home in April of 2015. She is a graduate of Feroleto Children’s Development Center of Trumbull Connecticut. We got to know Malina during the last few months of High School. She was so cute and lovable. The Team Instantly fell in love with Malina. Malina’s laugh was so contagious, and her smile would light up the world. One thing we learned very fast, you either learned or lived with the decision on what to do. Malina was not a morning person. 1st Shift was a work of art. She would eat breakfast and as soon as Day Program [IHD] would commence, Malina would fall asleep. She would always wake at Lunch Time and began to sign “EAT”. If you took too long you would know because she had another sign language that you knew to get moving and get my food. She loved Physical Therapy and all the exercises that kept her in good health. Saturday and Sunday were her favorite days because the LPN on staff would dress her like a Queen “Glamorous”. She would not let this LPN out of her sight. Malina had a very good life, many struggles, but she overcame them all. Malina was a fighter. I remember teaching her how to do range of motion exercises and she would pull me into her each time. Malina said “I Got This” 2nd Shift was a riot, Malina would be so vocal her and another housemate would be having a party – Yes, Malina was awake and ready to go. I would come in on 3rd shift and Malina would be sleeping like a baby. I would pull the fire alarm and o ’boy everybody would get the business until she got back in bed. Malina left us on September 27th, 2024, 2:09PM. Now you can sleep Malina, no more worries or despair – The Heaven’s await you and soon we will meet you there. No more pain and no more cares. Just Joy Everlasting in a peaceful atmosphere. We Love you and will miss you and thank you my dear for the LIFE WE SHARED!

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
