Magdalena "Maggie" (Keska) Mockalis

Magdalena “Maggie” (Keska) Mockalis, 42, of Cromwell, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.  Born in Kozienice, Poland, she was the daughter Leonarda Keska of Terryville and the late Marek T. Majkrzak.

Maggie served in the United States Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  She loved spending time with her children and family. She also enjoyed animals and to cook, fish, and camp. Maggie will be remembered for her beautiful smile and soul and her free spirit.

Along with her mother, Maggie is survived by her children, Diego Mockalis and Ania Mockalis; father of her children, Rigoberto Mockalis, all of Cromwell; brother, Maksymilian Keska and his wife, Kristen of Plantsville; maternal grandmother, Zofia Keska of Poland; her Aunt Aleksandra Majkrzak of Newington; two cousins, Katherine Boot and Derek Majkrzak, both of Newington; her Uncle Maciej Keska and his wife, Danuta of Poland; her Aunt Henryka Keska and her children, Ania and Adam, all of Poland and Leonarda’s lifelong partner, Leszek Dudzic and his children, Kasia, Marcin and Norbert.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her Uncle Mieczyslaw Majkrzak.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 1:00 pm in the State Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown where full military honors will be accorded.
