Lucile Elain (Walden) Smith Obituary

     Lucile Elain (Walden) Smith, 90, of Meriden, wife of the late Richard H. Smith, passed away on May 2, 2026, at Apple Rehab of Meriden.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Beatrice (Lampson) Walden.


     Lucile loved golf, country music, especially Alan Jackson and spending time with her family and pets.


     She is survived by a son Benjamin Smith and his wife Laurie of Meriden; a daughter Charlene Linsley and her husband Richard of Meriden; and two grandchildren Amanda Smith (Seth) and Brittany Ladd (Trevor).


     Along with her parents and husband, Lucile was predeceased by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.     


     Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11th at 11:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
