Very quietly and peacefully, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, our Heavenly Father dispatched his angels to guide our loved one to her heavenly home. Lorraine Fountain Davis peacefully entered eternal rest at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Lorraine was born the second child of Daniel J. Fountain and Ruth Risby Fountain on May 30, 1949, in Middletown, CT. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and Brother Walter Lee Fountain.
Lorraine was educated in the Connecticut Public School System. She joined True Vine Holiness Church in Portland, CT. Her church was her first home, and she loved being in fellowship until she moved to Aiken, SC. Lorraine found joy working in Hartford Connecticut Public Schools where she retired after many devoted years of service.
Lorraine united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Davis Jr. and to this union two wonderful children were born. They were married fifty-six wonderful years. She loved her family, having a good time, fellowshipping, and enjoying life to the fullest. She enjoyed reading and teaching God’s words, bringing laughter to brighten up the fellowship, crafts and cake decorating. Lorraine loved watching the cooking and game channels. Lorraine cherished the times spent with her loved ones, friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She shared a loving bond with each of them, and you would see her smiling ear to ear whenever they were around. Her loving bond with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will live on in their hearts forever.
Lorraine leaves to cherish her precious memories, husband Charles Davis Jr., children; Otis Lee Davis (Mary) and Charles Davis III, twelve grandchildren Charles Davis IV, Jewel Collins, Chaz Davis, Chance Davis, Maleek Myers, Jaelynne Davis, Marreon Walker, Tayvon Walker, Makayla Walker, CaRon Davis, Cartier Davis, and Christian Davis; two great grandchildren, Avalina Cruz and Adonis Crump. Lorraine was a great inspiration to so many, and we are very saddened by her passing. However, we rejoice because she is among the cloud witnesses. She will be tremendously missed by all of us and her beautiful spirit will remain eternally engraved in our hearts.
