Linda (Stone) Morrissey

     Linda Morrissey, 77, of Higganum, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at Middlesex Hospital. She was born on September 6, 1948 in Middletown, daughter of the late Howard and Isabelle (Klemba) Stone.

     Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed by CRT in Centerbrook, Regional School District 17 and held multiple part time jobs in Higganum and Killingworth. After retirement, she provided day care for her grandchildren and children of family and friends.  Linda enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, woodworking, and many other crafts.

     Linda was first married to the late Jean-Guy Senechal. Together, they had three children. Later in life, she married the late Burton Morrissey.

     She is survived by her children, Christopher Senechal and his wife Dara of Killingworth, Jennifer Rau of Higganum, Marc Senechal and his wife Andrea of Brasher Falls, NY. Her five grandchildren, Travis Senechal, Dakota Rau (Jace), Melody Senechal (Mark), Rachel Senechal (Jake) and Jessica Rau who provided loving care for Linda during her illness. Two great grandchildren, Maximus and Marzia Crump, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, George Stone and sister Joyce Priest. 

     Family and friends may call on Friday, November 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.
