Linda Ann Elem, 64, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital. Born in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of Harold Elem, III of Pine Plains, NY and the late Doris Mae (Powers) Elem.
Linda lived in Middletown most of her life and was a preschool teacher at Long River Village for many years. She was a loving and caring person who was a mother to all she came in contact with.
Along with her father, Linda is survived by her daughter, Qualnisha Elem of Hartford; two brothers, Carl Elem and Silas Elem, both of Pine Plains, NY; five sisters, Carolyn Elem of Middletown, Darlene Jackson of Poughkeepsie, NY, Evelyn Elem- of Middletown, Doris Elem of Cookeville, TN and Mary Elem of Palm Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Robert Dempsey, Jr., Ilizah Elem, Mikanisha Medina, Nakazja Holley and Shawnay’za Mason; three great grandchildren, Tristan Cherry, Deylon Dempsey and Iviona Smith; two Godsons, Clayton Smith and Ty’jyon, both of Middletown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her mother, Linda was predeceased by two daughters, Yolanda M. Elem and La-Toya Elem; a brother, Harold T. Elem, Jr. and two sisters, Sharon Elem and Alice Elem.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30 at 11:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday morning before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
