Lillian (Reznik) Shlien Mally

Lillian (Reznik) Shlien Mally, 92, of Portland, passed away on March 18, 2023, at her home.  Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Max and Pauline (Griefer) Reznik.

Lillian lived in Portland for over seventy years where she was active in the community and made many friends.  She was a member of Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue and was employed at Middlesex Mutual Insurance for over ten years.  Lillian enjoyed traveling including a trip to Europe in her 80’s. She was known for her humor and her baked spiced apples.  Lillian enjoyed always looking her best, was a lover of animals and loved to help people in need.

Lillian is survived by two sons, Mark Shlien of Bonita Springs, FL and Paul Shlien of Hartford; a daughter, Edna Shlien of South Windsor; sister-in-law, Ruth Reznik of Los Angelos, CA; six nieces and nephews and a great nephew.

Along wither parents, Lillian was predeceased by two husbands, Harold Shlien and Seymour Mally and two brothers, Joseph Reznik and Alex Reznik.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd at 1:00pm in Adath Israel Cemetery, 714 Pine Street, Middletown.  Please omit flowers.  Donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to C.A.TA.L.E.S., Inc., P.O.
