Kerry Lemar Marshall, 62, of Middlefield, passed away on October 14, 2021 at his home. Born in Eufaula, Alabama, he was the son of Alford Marshall, Sr. and Mary (Thomas) Marshall of Middlefield.
Kerry known as "Champ" or "Special K" was an All Star athlete for the Middletown High School Tigers in Football and Track & Field. He earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Connecticut. At UCONN he was a football letterman in 1977 and 1978. He was also a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Other schools he attended were Jackson State University and University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
Along with his parents, Kerry is survived by two daughters, Nicole Marshall and Kera Marshall of Alabama; three brothers, Lorenzo Marshall, Sr. of Cromwell, Kenny Thomas-Marshall (Deloris) of California and Alford Marshall, Jr. of Middlefield; three sisters, Geraline Williams (Alphanso) of Middletown, Sonya Marshall of Middlefield and Karen Marshall of Middletown; a grandson, Landon Marshall, cousin/brother, Victor Wilson of GA and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22nd at 11:00 am at Shiloh Christian Church, 693 Saybrook Road, Middletown. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church before the service.
