Kathleen Virginia Jackson

Kathleen Virginia Jackson, 69, of Plainfield, passed away on December 27, 2020 at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Virginia (Keser) Jackson, Jr.

Kathleen grew up in Portland graduating Portland High School Class of 1969.  She then lived in Plainfield for over thirty years. She was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Chapel at UCONN.  Kathleen received a BS from UCONN in 1973 and worked at Windham Hospital for twelve years and at UCONN Student Health Services for thirty years.  She was active as a Girl Scout Leader and Trainer and worked at Camp Laurel in Lebanon.  Kathleen was a huge UCONN Women’s basketball fan.

Kathleen is survived by her brother, Carl W. Jackson, III and his wife Jill of Michigan; a sister, Ann J. Cauble and her husband Robin of Portland; a niece, Rebecka Cauble of Portland and a great niece, Violet Munson of Portland.

A private graveside service will be held in the Swedish Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s memory may be made to Girl Scouts of Connecticut or UCONN Women’s Athletic Scholarships.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
