Judith Ann (Young) O’Brien, 83, of Middletown, wife of the late James J. O’Brien, Jr., passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Water’s Edge Center. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (Kensel) Young.
Judy lived in Middletown all her life and had a passion for painting and was an avid boxing fan. Judy and Jim made many memories and friends at the Boxing Hall of Fame each summer for years.
Judy is survived by two daughters, Bethany Boothroyd and her husband Gary of Albany, NH and Laurie Bouchard and her husband Richard of East Hampton; two brothers, William F. Young and his wife, Kathy, and Robert D. Young, both of Middletown; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She loved all of her family very much and cherished the memories of all of the trips and vacations with the grandkids as they were growing up.
Along with her parents and husband, Judy was predeceased by her son, James Barry O’Brien.
