Joyce Ann (Johnson) Kupfer

Joyce Ann (Johnson) Kupfer, 84, of Middletown, wife of George H. Kupfer, Sr. of sixty-one years, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Doris (Williams) Johnson.

 Joyce lived in Middletown for the past sixty-two years and was employed at Middlesex Hospital and the West Haven VA Hospital as a Medical Technologist for many years. She was a member of the South Congregational Church, enjoyed gardening and loved animals. Joyce was so kind and generous and loved her entire family and friends so very much.

Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lynn Grumm and her husband Daniel of Lyme; a son, George H. Kupfer, Jr. of Cromwell; two grandsons, Jack Grumm and his wife Haley, Jeffrey Grumm; and four great grandchildren, Nora, June, Ryland and Isabella.

Graveside services will be private in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown at the convenience of the family.
