Joyce (Smith) Crescimanno Obituary

Joyce Crescimanno (Smith) of Cromwell passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late William and Alice Smith of Cromwell.

Joyce was a 1954 Graduate of Middletown High School. Joyce was employed at Travelers, Xerox/Field Publications & Wesleyan University. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Joyce built her life around her family. She was the kind of mother that showed up for everything. The kind of friend who listened without judgement The kind of woman who found joy in the simple things. A good cup of coffee, a quiet morning, a phone call from her kids. A house full of family. Joyce never looked back at yesterday. Never worried about tomorrow. And as she always liked to say "One day at a time".

Joyce is survived by her husband (of 70 years) Thomas Crescimanno of Cromwell, her sons Stephen Crescimanno (Diane) Cromwell and Donald Crescimanno (Barbara) Cromwell; her grandchildren Stephen Crescimanno Jr Florida, Kathleen Crescimanno (Kevin) Berlin, Michael Crescimanno (Amanda) Cromwell, and Dena Croce (Robert) Portland; her great grandchildren Logan, Cameron, Liam Kominski, Ella & Mason Dean, Michael & Sebastian Crescimanno, Robert & Lucia Croce; her sister-in-law Josie Smith (Florida) and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Along with her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Alan, Donald, Robert Smith and her sister Marion Lastrina.

A special thank you to Portland Care and Rehab. Our heartfelt appreciation to Moms dear friends Charlie and Norm Hicks for their kindness love and support to Mom and our entire family.
