John Simpson Obituary

John Edwin Simpson (90), of Cromwell, CT passed away on February 6, 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.

John was predeceased by wife, Dolores, William and Elsie Simpson (parents) and Ruth Tameris (sister).

John was a graduate of Woodstock Academy and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a Mechanic and Auto body Technician by trade for which he also taught night classes at Eli Whitney, he was Owner of Southern CT Appraisal Service, Inc., and Pratt & Whitney Inspector from which he retired.

John loved watching NASCAR races every Sunday afternoon with his son Tom, and caring for his birds Matisse, Sammy, Pauly and Bandit. He also enjoyed fixing things.

He is survived by his three children; Thomas (Lynette) Simpson, Helen Ramos and Carol (Dan) DeVoe. He is survived by a nephew, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
