John Perruccio, 91, of Cromwell and formerly of Hartford, husband of the late Lois (Messina) Perruccio, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Portland Care & Rehabilitation. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Santa (Mangifico) Pirruccio.
John had lived in Cromwell for over forty years where he and Lois raised their family. He worked as a system operator for Northeast Utilities. John was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.
John is survived by three sons, John and Joanne Perruccio of Tampa, FL, Andrew Perruccio & Elisa Thomas of The Villages, FL and Daniel & Lisa Perruccio of Longmeadow, MA; a sister Ellen Sapaugh of Port Charlotte, FL; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, John was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Mazzamurro and Connie Madey.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Oasis of Life Church, 945 Cromwell Ave., Rocky Hill, CT (located in the Cold Spring Plaza, Rocky Hill, CT). Family and friends may call on August 28, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Oasis of Life Church, 945 Cromwell Ave. Rocky Hill, CT. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 9:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Middletown where full military honors will be accorded. Cromwell Funeral Home is handling the services.
