John James Kaminsky

John James Kaminsky, 94, of Cromwell, husband of the late Elizabeth (Cernak) Kaminsky passed away on April 13, 2023 at his residence. Born in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Hohal) Kaminsky.

John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and worked on the first IBM computer in the Army. He graduated with an engineering degree and worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing, where he met his wife of 44 years.  He continued his career at Hamilton Standard until he retired. John was a member of St. John Church in Cromwell and loved to travel.

 He is survived by three sons, James M. Kaminsky (Sue) of Marlborough, Robert J. Kaminsky (Lisa) of Fairfield, and John D. Kaminsky of Cromwell; and two grandsons, Samuel and Benjamin Kaminsky and two step-grandchildren Heather and Justin Krom.

 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19th at 11:00 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home.
