Jo-ann Kurek Caccio, 72, of Meriden, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Midstate Medical Center. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Pattavina) Kurek.
Jo-ann was a very strong woman who never gave up through her health struggles. She was proud to be a donor saving two men’s lives. She was very loved, touched many people’s lives and was an inspiration to her children. Above all Jo-ann loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She survived by a son Marcus T. Caccio; a daughter Nicole A. Caccio; brother John Wilks; three sisters Debbie Swain, Lori Swain and Lisa Griswold; six grandchildren Jakia Jarmon, Mylaiah Rankins, Tylik Caccio, Aijah Caccio, Faith Caccio and Marcus Caccio, II and six great grandchildren Jomal-Omar, Jayceon, Ja’Mir, Nevaeh, Alaih and Ayla.
Along with her parents, Jo-ann was predeceased by a sister Kathy Campbell.
