Janet Louise Wycinowski (aka “Red”), 67, of Middletown, having defied the odds, passed away on her own terms, December 30, 2025, at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Pistel) Wycinowski.
Janet was loving, feisty and bossy. Her passions were word search puzzles, calendars and the love of animals.
Janet is survived by her sister Diane Kallaugher (Jim) of Middletown and her brother Robert Wycinowski (Sheila) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Over the years, many people were involved in Janet’s care, and the family is grateful to all of them. In particular, the family would like to thank the kind and dedicated staff at Mosaic with whom Janet most recently made her home; the wonderful staff at ACES for their day program, which Janet enjoyed throughout the years and a special thank you to Pete, Janet’s CCH case manager, for dedication above and beyond his job for the last sixteen years.
A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
