Ivars (Kixxy) Pupedis of Middletown, 72, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Munich, Germany in 1951, he immigrated to Cromwell, Connecticut with his family after WWII.  Kixxy served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic and continued his love for mechanics throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and working with his hands on a variety of projects including his scooter, which he could often be seen on while traveling through downtown Middletown. He was a kind and quiet man who will be missed by his family and Middletown community.  He is survived by his sisters, Anita (Suzie) Varricchio, and Kitty Pupedis, and brother Raymond Pupedis; sister-in-law, Diane Pupedis; nephew Emmett Varricchio and his wife Meygan, niece Amy Wade and her husband Jason, and their son Liam. Kixxy was predeceased by his mother and father, Velta and Albins Pupedis, brother Imants (Louie) Pupedis, brother-in-law Anthony Varricchio Jr., and sister-in-law Martha Pupedis.
